Programme Instructor | Co Founder NIT
Godlove received a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with specialisation in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Buea, Cameroon. He is a holder of a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Automatic Control, Robotics, Electronics, Telecommunication, and Computer Science (interdisciplinary studies with specialisation in Computer Science) from the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics, and Computer Science. Silesian University of Technology. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree with the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. He is a researcher by profession and works with the Computer Systems Modelling and Performance Evaluations Group, Institute of Theoretical and Applied Informatics, Polish Academy of Sciences, Poland. He is an Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer Sciences, Institute of Computer Science, Silesian University of Technology, Poland. He has also worked as a part-time Assistant Lecturer for Computer Science courses at WSB University, Poland.
In 2020, he was the winner of a grant competition in Industry 4.0 from the Silesian University of Technology, which he executed successfully. He has participated as a researcher on two Horizon 2020 European Union (EU) grant projects, namely: the Safe and Secure Internet of Things (SerIoT) and the Software Development ToolKit for Energy Optimization and Technical Debt Elimination (SDK4ED). In January 2020, he was awarded the InterStudent Award of the best international students in Poland in the Ph.D. category for his excellence in research.
His research interests include: mathematical modelling of computer networks (e.g. performance evaluations of access, core, and data centre networks with focus on Internet of Things, Software Defined Networks, and Optical Networks), queueing theory and its applications, modelling of energy consumption in networks (green networking), and technology adoption.
Godlove has published 12 scientific articles in top tier journals (IEEE Access, Sensors, and Applied Sciences), and by renowned International publishers like IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) and Springer. He has participated and delivered presentations at several international scientific conferences and workshops, including the IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) World Computer Congress among others.
He is a strong advocate on collaboration and the “Master Mind Alliance” principle, and has been collaborating with several researchers from research institutes and universities across Europe (Poland, France, Italy, etc.), India, Namibia, and Cameroon.
Godlove is the co-founder of a technology start-up called New Innovations Technologies (NIT), which has trained 38 batches of students in the use of software packages and online platforms for computerised accounting and taxation (including online tax declaration in Cameroon). NIT has two training centres in Cameroon, one in Douala and the other is in Buea. In 2015 and 2016, Godlove was in charge of product design, sales, and training of clients on the software products.
An avid commodity trader and agro-investor, he has also been a volunteer mathematics and Physics teacher in public schools in Kumbo, North West Region of Cameroon. He has mentored several students to improve their academic performance and to make better career choices.
During his spare time, he writes for a weekly newsletter called Wahbin Wiy A Lo (Youth, Let’s Move) and has published more than 40 articles on education, personal development, economics, and finance. Outside of research, Godlove spends his time reading, writing, coaching/mentoring, networking and investing in various business ventures.
