How Far We've Come:
The Journey Since 2020

Founder's Creed

“The only guarantee for sustainability in business is a proper structure.”

— Boris Bison, Founder

In 2020, BBIncubator (Boris Bison Youth Empowerment Business Incubator) opened its doors in Bonaberi, Douala, with a radical yet practical premise: talent across Cameroon and Central Africa is in abundance, but young enterprises frequently fail because they lack the basic institutional scaffolding that financial institutions demand.

Over the past 5+ years, we transitioned from an informal workspace community into an institutional venture acceleration machine. We have guided over 100 ventures through rigorous diagnostic checks, catalyzed over 15 Billion FCFA in capital mobilization and partner financing, and trained hundreds of team members in operational discipline, unit economics, and governance.

THE FOUNDER’S VISION

Talent across Cameroon and Central Africa is in abundance.

BORIS BISON / BBINCUBATOR
Phase 1 (2020 — 2021)The Genesis

Douala Campus Hub & Grassroots Incubation

Establishment of our physical campus in Bonaberi, providing high-speed internet, prototyping labs, and direct hands-on support to early-stage builders. We launched our first cohort programs to test and refine practical curricula tailored to the Central African economic reality.

Phase 2 (2022 — 2024)The SBIS Methodology

Codifying the 4 Pillars of Enterprise Viability

Recognizing that informal companies struggled with commercial banks, Boris Bison codified the SBIS Methodology (Structured, Bankable, Investment-Ready, Scalable). We introduced our 34-point universal diagnostic, standardizing how legal compliance, financial records, operations, and audit readiness are measured.

Phase 3 (2025 — Present)Digital Ecosystem

Pan-African Syndicate Access & Digital Passes

Expansion into a unified digital ecosystem. Members now hold verified digital ID passes, official accreditation certificates, live opportunity intelligence feeds, and direct pathways to private equity syndicates, grants, and regional CEMAC market channels.

The SBIS Methodology

Every member venture follows our proven 4-stage pipeline to achieve verified bankability.

Pillar 1

Structured

We anchor your business in legal clarity: RCCM registration, NIU tax attribution, corporate bylaws, governance protocols, and formal employment contracts.

Pillar 2

Bankable

Transitioning from informal cash handling to disciplined bookkeeping, dedicated business bank accounts, traceable revenue history, and verifiable tax compliance.

Pillar 3

Investment-Ready

Data room preparation, audited unit economics, realistic 3-year financial projections, investor pitch decks, and cap table structuring that angel syndicates look for.

Pillar 4

Scalable

Expanding market reach across Cameroon and CEMAC regional borders through structured sales operations, team leadership, and digital process automation.

The Bonaberi Innovation Campus

BBIncubator operates from a physical hub in Bonaberi, Douala. We believe enterprise building requires both intellectual rigor and tangible infrastructure: dedicated workstations, executive meeting rooms, high-speed fiber internet, and round-the-clock technical guidance.
